    There is no public transport from Galway to the start of the Marathon. You need to drive or arrange to get a lift,

    What type of refreshments are available at the various stops?

    Frances, water and snacks (bananas, oranges, snack bars etc.) are available from the second and later checkpoints and a meal is served after the marathon.
