Formed in December 1994 (first meeting in the “Galway Arms” on Tuesday, December 20) to promote walking, this club has gone from strength to strength down through the years. With the addition of “hillwalking” in 1996 to its “rambles” and “short walks” programs, it caters for everyone’s walking habits.
This is the website for the Galway Walking Club. News of forthcoming walks and events will appear here on the appropriate pages. If you wish to join the club, there is a meeting at 8.30 every second Thursday in Tonery’s pub in Bohermore (upstairs – ask behind the bar; free parking).
Walks take place every Sunday and the assembly points and times are displayed on the relevant pages.
